Morning Conversation host, Jeremy Werner talks to guest, Dr. William V. Stoecker, co-author of a July/August 2020 Missouri Medicine article called "Fentanyl in Missouri: The China Connection."

Dr. Stocker discusses the boom of fentanyl and opium overdoses in the state of Missouri.  He says that finding pure heroine on the streets is impossible anymore. He states that some Missouri rural areas are filled with opium overdose hotspots, but the biggest problems remain in St. Louis and the St. Louis area.

Missouri had the largest percentage increase in fatal opiod cases.
